So I bought my tank from Petco awhile back when they do there 1$ a gallon. So I picked up the biggest tank they had which was the 40 gallon. 36 by 18 I believe. Eventually I want a reef aquarium but I figured Id start off with a fish only with live rock. When currently i have 2 clown fish, fire fish, 2 cardinals, lawnmower Benny, valentini puffer, 6 line wrasse, chocolate chip seastar, skunk cleaner(which is prego) , 6 turno snails, and about 20 hermit crabs. Maybe less since my puffer likes to pick at them and eat them. Then I just recently added a condy anemome and a long tentacle. As you can see from the photos, I may try and move the condy since it is getting close to my long tentacle and I don't want them fighting. There is also about 20 lbs of live rock, and a few aricifial pieces from Petco/petsmart. I went out and bought the slim skim protein skkmmer and have two pumps(only the left is on currently. Having both running sends my tank into a whirlpool it seems. Have t found the right placement for both yet.

the red is there because inside the tank we put a picture of our daughter. Cut two pieces of glass and put aquarium sealed around the edges. Nice little touch.

Right now everything is on point with parameters but my nitrite has been at about .25-.50 which worries me a little. I have small traces of nitrate which doesn't bother me as much. I've heard that is normal which fish only. I do 5 gallon water changes every weekend as well.

Your Anemones might have some issues with you having any Nitrites in the water. Then tend to need a bit on the cleaner water side of things.
