I know this isn’t a planted tank forum, so thought I’d share this here, in the lounge

I recently redid my 29 pallifina build (wild mouthbrooding species of betta) and flooded it. It had been half full, but I decided to change it up because of a new light that had to be added.

To my surprise, one of my buces sprouted a flower. Under water no less! This is a very good sign, and a much needed one for me today. At. Patrick's day is the day I lost my dad, now two years ago. So waking up and seeing that, makes me think of him. He is the reason for my reef tank and he also loved when I would y’all him about my plants. Of course his response would always be along the lines of “Plants and bettas are neat, baby girl. But why not set up a nice little salt tank with the clown fish and pretty corals?“ which of course I finally did lol.

so, here is my little buce flower. Thanks dad, for the neat little bloom :) D08D669C-7437-4C53-98A5-31306DC9FC3F.jpeg 7A4C99C9-4D9B-4062-B03B-6615A5B13B8E.jpeg

Too new to flower. Just happy to see a fellow reefer who appreciates the planted life image.jpg
Lovely! I think buces are my favorite plant.
