Hi folks,
So, I just lost my Long Nose Butterfly (his name was Obnoxious). It was totally acting fine. Swimming, eating, getting along with the others. However, it did have Ich, but it didn't seem to bother him. I was on the last day of a 14 day Kick Ich regimen. He had maybe 2 or 3 white spots left on him, but again, wasn't acting lethargic or anything. l saw him less than 2 hours ago, and he was fine.
I just came and checked on the tank, and there he was, dead. His body was being pulled on by the outer grating of the circulation pump. At first I theorized that the suction from the pump pulled him and he couldn't escape, but I checked with my hand and could not feel any suction whatsoever. It was possibly enough to suck in a dead fish, but a live, swimming, seeming healthy fish?
Has your circulation pump/wave maker ever done this?
Any other ideas?
Thanks
