My clownfish have some brown spots on them

They are otherwise very happy and active. The spots don't look like anything on top of the surface, more like freckles. Is this a problem?

Are they trying to be hosted by any of the corals in your tank? Often when clowns are hosted by non-anemones, they can get black spots.

My clowns are being hosted by an armor of gods paly colony and now have black spots all over them. I suppose from getting stung, they both act fine so it must not be hurting them cause they keep goin back for more.

I think they're hosting zoas.

My clowns have recently been displaying the brown freckles also. My female was hosting in my neon green singularia and I'm sure it was from that. Removed the coral 3 weeks ago to my nano and she's doing better now. Both my male and female had a lot of the freckles-brown spots was very sudden and concerning and then found this thread and them hosting in the coral at night. Pictures don't do the spots justice and yea its hard to get a good shot. Mine are fine and eating like pigs always have & they're over 7 yo. Mated pair.
