well after 3 weeks of research and planning i have completed my phyto and cope farm. I disinfected everything well. I brew my own beer,so I have plenty of food grade cleaner. I'm using a 5k led light, which I might change out to a fluorescent if I don't see progress. put the light on an 18hr on 6hr off schedule. boiled some tank water and added everything once cooled. I will keep you updated on my progress.

to keep our washroom from looking like Walter white is living here I stapled some old blackout curtains to the shelves

Just curious what did you use for disinfectants? What are my options for sterilizing?

i use a cleaner for food lines. its worked well for brewing beer so far. i figure rubbing alcohol or bleach solution should work as well. just make sure to rinse.
