I found this post because you responded to one of mine. Wow. I’m sure you aren’t discouraged and I’m sure your tank will look phenomenal.

My last update was about a year ago and this tank has had some changes.
Some new additions and some losses.
Started picking up a few torch corals and a few others.
Had big problem with bjd on my lps.
Lost alot of nice colonies, but things have seemed to stabilize.

I took a few pictures with a Samsung S10+ with a orange filter and just the Reef Brites on.

Not alot new coral wise, but I did buy a new sump and got it installed this week.
The previous sump I bought about 15 years ago and was used when I got it.
It worked very well but it was time to get a new one.
The new one is just a simple setup. Skimmer chamber/incoming water, then refugium, then return area.

Tank picture,

Been trying to use different camera settings on my Samsung S20 Ultra and I found that by going to the Pro mode and setting WB to 10k ( the highest), it comes pretty close. Still alot of blue in the picture and the colors are a tiny bit muted, but it's close.

Really dig your reef! Curious how you plumbed the over flow and return? 2 x 1" and 3/4"?
Thank-you.:)
The return is just a single 3/4" pvc pipe out of the Vectra M2.
My drain is a 2 x 1-1/2" Herbie style. 1 is the main drain and gate valve and the other is the emergency drain.

Nice little tank man.
Devin
This is my back room tank. Had one up in this room since 1991. First one was a custom 40 gallon I had made. Then came the diy 50 gallon. This one is a Crystal Reef tank ( do you remember Mike? ) . I picked up this tank and a week later the company closed their doors.
