My dog face puffer eye turned white

So my son noticed our dog face puffer had a squinty white eye what would cause this

May be from an eye injury
If it looks like a pearl, may be damage. If so, can it eat and survive- absolutely

I reached out to some of my reefer buddies and we ruled out infections doing a few days of a fw dip just in case , but I did notice on of my torch heads was chomped on and I think on of the heads must of stung him , just wanted to make sure it wasn’t bacterial infection but yea it’s a Perl completely white and not bulging out like normal so I’m hoping for the best
