Which LFS do you recommend in NH? I have gone to Fish Mikes in Manchester which I like but its small and seems to be more focused on fresh water.

Ya I buy from Mike all the time. There's Jay's Aquatic in Salem, Big store and lots of stuff too. Aquatic Creations in Amherst, small (about the same as Mike's) but he QTs his fish and only open a few days a week (he does maintenance too). That's about all I know of in SNH...

Yeah I'll continue to go to Mikes for all my food/supplement needs (I perfer to shop local).

Just want to thank everyone here at R2R to this point. Ive learned a lot heading into week 7 with the tank.

Paramiters are all spot on and consistent.

Water is crystal clear.

Maroons are happy (and growing like crazy).

Added a Duncan coral frag that also seems to be doing great.

Question regarding water changes.

I almost feel like my weekly changes are unnecessary.

Livestock = 12 snails and 2 maroon clownfish

All my parameters hold stable. Water appears Crystal clear.

Is there a chance that the 37 lbs of live rock i have would reduce the need for weekly water changes? Might biweekly be sufficient?

Its not that I mind doing the weekly WC. But i feel like I'm doing it kind of like a robot. Just going through the motions because thats what i read i should do.

Update: 2 and a half months in and I haven't done anything else to the tank. Partially because I havent had any time to do much beyond basic maintnence. But also beacuse i wanted to just leave the tank for a few months and let it establish.

Oh, and my female maroon killed the male when i was gone for 48 hours about a week ago... [emoji20]

Im torn on what to do with her. She is a beautiful fish but i feel like she will kill anything else i add. I didnt mind having just the pair but now it looks so empty with only 1 fish.

Does anyone have advice on rehoming fish? Specifically in NH?

Not specifically, but you can take it to Mike's, I'm sure he'll give you store credit. I've only ever kept maroon clowns individually and had no problems with other fish and them...

Hmmm ok. Maybe i will give some other species a shot. I hate to let her go.
