My first chalice!

Bought this little guy yesterday for a steal! It's about three inches long and an inch wide.
Sorry for the algae and salt creep in the pics. The tank crashed recently and I lost pretty much all my coral and from there I interest in it so didn't do a great deal of maintenance. Since then I've regained my passion for the ocean and decided to start looking after the tank and stocking it again! This was the first addition :)

Looks like a scoll coral not a chalice.

Oh...it was sold to me (from a trustworthy source) as a chalice. I thought the polyps looked different but just assumed I was mistaken.
Does anyone know the care requirements for these guys?

Find a Hollywood Stunner chalice, IMO the easiest to keep and frankly very appealing. If you were closer I'd give you one.

It`s easy to keep I have mine half way up ,mount It on a rock or lay It flat .with some current It should do well , had mine for a long time with PC but now It Is happier under LEDS

****. I'm guessing it won't thrive in my tank. I have my tank set up for softies and "dirtier" water loving LPS.
I'm hoping my lighting is strong enough, I have PC on this tank, so I might be ok.
I've been toying with the idea of going SPS, so maybe this is the kick start I need! I need to do more research.

The smaller pieces above the main colony have great PE today!

Turbinaria reniformis. I think you'll do great with it! Very unique but common coral. Give it some moderate flow and try not to let detritus to settle on top of the coral. Good luck!
