My first motorcycle HELP!

So I think I want to get my first Motorcycle and Ninja 250R, BUT my question is how does this work. I am going to flate out buy one new, but i dont have my motorcycle liscens. How do i get my bike to the place to take the test, and what exacly is the test? Is it a road and written?

You will have a road and a written test. You can get a permit at the dmv. Most technical colleges in WI have a driving class you can take for motorcycles. If you pass you get you license and a discount on your insurance.

most states are different but you need to get a permit and hold it for so long before you can get the lic.

in La. you go get the motorcycle first and then you go take the test....

I know La. does a lot of stuff backwards-

take the course! it'll save you lots!!! trust me and you can learn alot too. +1 on many colleges offer them too, but bring your own helmet.... as they usually have some for people to use, but u dont know who's head has been in there:sweat:... also with your permit, usually you are only to ride during the day and no passengers... just check with your dealer and they'll give you the details in your state.:wink:
