This is my first saltwater tank. I've kept a few freshwater in the past. The tank is a 55 "breeder". 48 x 15 x 18. I'm using a 40 breeder for a sump. Currently only running one wave maker but plan to add a second before getting any coral. I have about 45lbs of dry rock and roughly a 2" layer of dry sand. Current livestock is a standard Ocellaris clown, Darwin Ocellaris, Bicolor Blenny, Christmas wrasse, 7 hermits, 2 nessarius snails, skunk Cleaner, conch and a Mexican Turbo Snail. Still waiting on the ugly stage to set in and pass before adding any coral. Tank has been set up since February 19th. Just wanted to share. Thanks for looking.
