I got a new clown and a cleaner shrimp for now planning on maybe getting another invert and a blenny of sorts. Everything is growing out nice and getting acclimated. I plan to acclimate the coral to their specific spots on the rock work. I plan to put the xenia along the bottom section in between the gaps in the rock and the edges with clove polyps. My waving anthelia has been been growing to a certain point and then melting to the polyp stocks then regrowing and doing the same over and over. Maybe i need to give it more room as it cant grow vertically but confused abt that.

Hey thought i should do an update!
First thing: the clownfish did end up passing away. I think the amount of snails I put in did end up rise the ammonia levels too high.. but corals are looking great! I can tell growth from the photos! PS. Sorry for the tank looking ugly. Its lots better than before though.

The other day I picked up a fairly decent sized maxima clam from my LFS and its doing wonderfully in my tank and I know its not much as its been 2 days or so but I enjoy the challenge and the colors are phenomenal in my opinion. One of the pics is without aquarium cam filter :)

I used just generic gel super glue. Works best if you put a dot on the frag and on the wall then touch them. Stronger bond that way in my findings.
MY glass is oily? Or something from algae. I ended up gluing it onto a patch of corroline algae lol

Hi Gabriel,
You know that I love that clam :p, but how is your feeding maintenance for coral so far?

Usually, small clam needs to be fed more, and slowly it goes to photosynthetic.

Love the "almost no algae" look!
Seem like a good balance of food import and clean up crew!

I have been doing phytofeast every day is really my feeding regiment right now. I am currently doing more research to find out if there is a more efficient way that I can do this or a way the clam will get more of the phyto

Got a few more corals the other day including: Elephant ear mushroom (I have no idea what to do with this as they get humongous) ,tiki torch monti, wwc favia of some sort (Can update the name later), harvest moon psammocora , and a wwc cherry garcia chalice. I do have a heavy coral stock list but I am setting up another tank within a month so when things get too crowded from growing I can move more prized pieces to the bigger tank. The bubblegum monti has a green line about the size of 3 or 4 pinheads which is really good as it lost the green just when it arrived. Green tips equals growing if I’m not mistaken. The maxima clam I turned around so the inhalant aperture was having flow into it instead of the opposite direction and already it is opening up so much more even at the morning.
I am now looking for stocking some more inverts. What would you guys recommend for more inverts. I was considering getting a few sexy shrimp and I did want a crab but I heard theyre not as reef safe as most.

I’m a little worried about my Elephant Ear. It’s about 4” in diameter and I’ve heard horror stories about them eating fish.

I am worried too. I currently don’t have fish but will be getting more inverts possibly and I don’t want the sexy shrimp getting eaten if I decide to get them

Very interesting to have moved the clam direction.
At the beginning, I set mine in a certain direction and he always moved to a certain way, now I just left him alone and seem to be happy.

Have you notice a difference in Alkalinity?
