Glad you enjoyed your visit. I've volunteered at GAQ for seven years in Tropical Diver and the jelly lab, both in gallery and behind-the-scenes positions. One thing I really appreciate is the regular "refreshing" of exhibits to display new animals for visitors' enjoyment. And yes, the behind-the-scenes tour and animal encounters are well worth it.

.... now everyone go shop Home Depot (lol) because it's the Georgia Aquariums biggest sponsor

www.homedepot.com
Yes, Bernie Marcus had a powerful vision a few years back and his initiative has had a major impact on this part of Atl. Best thing imho is no government involved except for permitting and related matters. He traveled the world to identify the best of the best and brought it here.

Looks like you had a Whale of a time buddy
squishy beluga whale GIF
Sorry @Utubereefer I didn't get better Beluga pics. It was feeding time and they stayed vertical with heads out of water for 30+ mins

Pics don't do it justice on how MASSIVE these guys are. The length of two miniVans

I've got a couple dozen 15-30sec videos as well. i might add to this thread as well.

Not sure if ppl have seen enough... sorta like your crazy uncle showing pics of his trip on his TV and everyone is screaming internally "get me out of here!"
