I finally got a good pic of my Mantis shrimp. His name is Dozer, cause he is the best bulldozer I've ever seen!

Isn't he the coolest? He takes food from my hand.

I definitely can't pronounce it. I love mantis shrimp. Do you have him in with your corals or does he have a tank of his own?

He's got a 15g tank I had origonally set up as a frag tank. Had a RBTA in there I wanted to frag. I'm slowly adding a few more corals. My Grandis are in there now.

I am very cautious to keep my fingers away from his smashers.

All crab donations are welcome! :D

He's got plenty of small rocks to make his home out of. I can't believe the construction abilities he has. His house is built over 6" of sand & he has the whole thing scooped out to the bottom & shored up, so no sand seeps in at all. He can move rocks 3x his size by flipping his body over it, while holding on. This guy never ceases to amaze me!

yes, full tank shot please!!

do you think the 15g will be big enough for a peacock? (cant see the pic to see if it is one or not)

i have a small 1" green mantis in a 7g minibow, its shy species and never comes out. :( so i've been meaning to get a bigger, more interactive mantis for a 10-15g tank. but not too big like a peacock.

looking for a smithii or wannerae, something like that. but have yet to find one in time in the last 8mos. :(

Saltwaterfish.com has peacocks. Since he rarely comes out if his house, I think that tank size is fine for him.

Here's his 15g tank. His house is on the right side:

He made himself a basement dwelling.
