Hey all, I'm JP. I'm new to this forum and thought I would start with a few photos of my stand build. I bought a PicO aquariums AIO tank with the dimensions 15x15x15. IMPOSSIBLE to find a stand for this thing. A lot of people use the biocube or nano cube stands but those were just a little too big and too short as well (around 30" tall). I decided to build my own using 3/4" plywood and biscuit joinery. I used birch veneer wood and bought white birch edge banding for the ugly plywood edges. For the surface, I bought a scrap of solid surface countertop material from a local installer.

TLDR. I used tools and built a pillar for a tank of water.

Planning and cutting

joining

gluing and clamping

Fast forward to final product

Enjoy!

Nice little box. I like your use of a “solid surface countertop material” to top it off. Are we talking a slab of stone or one of those composite “Corian” type materials?

I’m also very envious of your clamp collection……doesn’t take much to make me happy!

Thanks! Yes, the top is a composite material. The clamps (and shop) belong to my boss. I'm envious as well!
