Thanks. I wanted a larger size to promote stability which doesn't necessarily mean I won't mess it up but I'll keep the updates going.Super excited to watch your build come togeather! This is my dream tank to have in another 4 or so years.

We used three 8 foot 2x4 boards and ran them under the crate (side to side) to give us 3 handles to lift from on each side. Not attached, just slid through under where the fork lift would pick the crate up. Your 6 friends can then easily lift and carry the entire crate and carry it to the door. Then switch to the suction cups. I don't think you will need the dolly doing it that way.All right a plan is coming together I've got 5 maybe 6 friends coming over next Thursday night to help me move this tank. I ordered 3 more pressurized glass lifters so I will have 7 total. I think we can just lift it carry it through the backyard into the sliding glass door. I don't really want to deal with stairs besides measuring it off we would have to tilt the tank to fit it through the door at the top of the stairs where as through the sliding door it can go in like normal. I think I will also stop at Home Depot and get a furniture dolly to cart it to the end of the driveway rather than carry. Total cost for the 7 pressure glass lifters and dolly were $300 probably about the same as hiring someone so its nice to have the tools to help carry tanks around in the future with help as opposed to relying on a company to do it.
Well I also have the mixing station so its a free top off for some of them.We used three 8 foot 2x4 boards and ran them under the crate (side to side) to give us 3 handles to lift from on each side. BTW you have 5 or 6 friends now... count on having 2 or 3 friends after the move. lol
Good luck, pics or it didn't happen.
I thought about an all XR lighting solution but then thought better of it need some lights that are larger in size to ensure less shadows for flooding the tank with light and the XR lights will fill the spots that need higher par for SPS at least that was my thinking I could easily be all wrong about that. I wouldve preferred to fill with the LED solution from reefbrite but I had to again cut costs so I went with the T5 solution for now knowing it will actually cost me more in the long run.I can't believe you got your tank so fast. I ordered in August and just got mine and missed out on the top shelf gift card.
I will be running 4 XR30 on mine. Yup, 4 of those bad boys. Got the gen 4 used for a good price.

A few things I've learned about buying fish tanks through the years. Its cheaper to buy used but the quality of the tank is usually sketchy so I prefer getting new ones. If you are buying a new tank always wait until Black Friday or around xmas to get the best deals.I can't believe you got your tank so fast. Watching your build, looks like fun! Love the fish room, how’s the humidity down there? Here is what the fish room looks like with the new APS stand from a couple perspectives. Note the boxes over towards the salt mixing station are my sand/rocks/controller board/T5 hybrid fixture with bulbs/UV Sterilizer.
Also this brings my fish room up to 12 tanks with this one and 634 gallons 3 tanks dedicated to salt and 9 FW. If you add in the sump and mixing stations its 794 total gallons.
I'm going to dedicate the rest of my man cave basement to a foosball table refrigerator and bar (possibly a utility sink).
So I don't actually have any way of tracking the humidity right now but I will probably pick up a kestrel before summer. I know it isn't an issue right now because it has been soooo cold and dry this winter in Virginia I'm topping my tanks off from evaporation every week. The basement is heated so it isnt as cold as say my garage but it doesn't heat as well down there as the house air temp is probably 68-70F when the house is at 72F.Watching your build, looks like fun!
