Hello everyone. I started catching back up tonight a bit. I went and got sick just after my arm got back to normal but at least I have the strength to lift buckets of water again. This is a good thing since I’m way overdue for a water change.

Speaking of water changes, do any of you stick keepers out there use regular IO salt? I can’t afford to pay twice the price of regular IO these days. 6 months ago I could get RC for 40 bucks at PetSmart. Now it’s 90. I can get chewy to ship me a bucket of regular IO for 50 bucks and I think that’s for the 200 gallon box.

I’ve read where people are using it with SPS with success. Still I’d like to know if any of you are using it. I know it’s a bit lower in CAL and ALK but that can easily be fixed. I’m more concerned with the trace elements. I’ll research that some more. For now I probably have enough salt to do a 33% water change which will quite a bit.

Which one? I had problems with levels coming out inconsistent, do you do anything to keep the levels consistent?

Morning! I'm already at 'work' printing things for the gremlins. 8yo gremlin wanted a little house to paint. 14 yo wants a wall mount cup holder and 12yo wants a little sloth figure. Putting me to work! I moved the operation to my desk. Now I can do kitchen things.
