it's fine ,i am here watching...too many ideas would be confusing..
@F i s h y the red arrow pic,did you mean opposite ball to gate?? lost me a touch there.
Red arrow... I would change it from the ball valve to a gate. Gate is better. Always.

do you have a new one? show me writing on body, may have ,should have pile otp 2000 parts
Ironically it wouldn't fit, the stand is too short. I have very limited space to get things in my sump due to that stupid stand height.
At this point I'd have to pull the tank off the stand to get the skimmer in there LOL.

However I have a Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer, workin its butt off.
any odor from the rolled up used section?
None.
Rolls up and dries pretty quickly.
You can literally unroll it when it's done and see the phases your tank goes through on a normal basis.
On the old tank I could see my cyano then GHA come and go through the course of a roll.

Always use unions for easy maintenance! I know that much!

But what’s better slip on unions or threaded?
I like threaded...

Direct current totally controllable instead of one speed and you throttle it down with a valve
Ok now I know
And the more ya know the better off you are
I definitely have a dc pump. Which I love

Right there with you... no skimmers for me...
So far with the new setup between the ats and the roller mat, my skimmer is hardly working...
I love the idea of that over those socks
WORTH IT. I got a klir at like close to half price open box via coralvue, i was on the fence but the discount won me over
any odor from the rolled up used section?
no smell so far - only 2 days in but a decent amount picked up from all the kickup in the transfer....

This is another reason now that I want one

So than just added threaded ends to the pipe. That was my original train of thought
Maybe I misunderstood. The unions are slip on the end that connects to the pipes.. .
