Yes fishing:) We have found some really sweet cliff side camping spots and trout fishing streams in our journeys lately.

Heck yeah. I yak fish all the time now. Plan to take the yak to FL and do some offshore with it. Like 10-12 miles offshore.

Couldn't imagine that your a beast man that's about how far we had to boat to swim with whale sharks lol. That's a journey for sure.

I have multiple modes of propulsion on my yak.

Pedal Drive
Trolling motor with almost 220ah of lithium batteries
Sail
Paddle

Average speed with pedal is 4-5 mph, so 2-3 hours of trolling to find a weed line. Most weed lines are at about 8-12 miles offshore right now. Trolling motor has 7 hours are full speed and that is about 6-7 mph. I have hit close to 17 with pedal/motor and sail lol. Way to much speed for a yak. Sail has gotten me about 10 mph on a lake and that is about as fast as the yak should ever go.

But pedal will be used mostly. Only plan to use the trolling motor for spot lock/anchoring. I will also be starting my trek in the Indian river lagoon. If fishing ends up being good there, may never make it offshore lol. I am in this for food, so if no mangrove snapper or other things inshore, I will go for dolphin and mackerel offshore.

I haven't had zoas for years but palys I do have and love, five grandis paly frags simmering and my favourite ready to frag (I wear gloves and glasses for the palys and frag them under water but still makes my hands itch), the mouths are neon green under blues.

Not the grandis! :zany-face:

And depending on which part of Florida you're coming to & when, the shoreline has changed :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: the Gulf hasn't made it's way back all the way.

Still a re work in progress but progressing, between the fish and me we are winning against the algae slowly, when it's gone it's gone now, the three tester montis are sketchy, less sketchy and ok, ok included, nothing good happens fast in the twins. :)

@najer splamming so am I!

Broke my green monti cap in half and another couple of small pieces. Made a sun shade for the chalice.

Gonna try to get pink and green to grow together. And glued a piece to the side of the rockwork. Kept the original spot for the main colony.
