Lots of snow and freezing temps/weatherproofing talk and coral and selling his big tank and then some more coral and the pool table and now it’s like 60 degrees and snow is melting.i was going to ask if i missed much while i was away, but that is a stupid question in this thread. TLDR.. like 100 pages since I was last here.
Basically that sums it up well. But you forgot........Lots of snow and freezing temps/weatherproofing talk and coral and selling his big tank and then some more coral and the pool table and now it’s like 60 degrees and snow is melting.
thank you! but it was more of a rhetorical question because I know things in this thread change by the minute and you explained what happened in 1 sentence when it probably would have taken a whole novel ;-)Lots of snow and freezing temps/weatherproofing talk and coral and selling his big tank and then some more coral and the pool table and now it’s like 60 degrees and snow is melting.
Condi are tough. If you have a small tank and water you can make a hospital tank. No need for meds. Just 100% water changes twice a day for a few days and then move to once a day. A simple 60w bulb or led equivalent from a lamp is enough light.Sad splam ;Meh
Condy was walking around and decided to pay with the power head. Even tho I covered it up too.
Heck a salt bucket will work. Rubbermaid tub. Just need about 4 gallons for a single condi.Condi are tough. If you have a small tank and water you can make a hospital tank. No need for meds. That works also. Just look for constant deflating and gaping mouth.i got it in an acclimation box. It was actually flipping me off today.
crap. i had it up closer to the light thinking it needs more light for healing.. let me move it back down in the cornerThat works also. Just look for constant deflating and gaping mouth.
If it was just tents that got chopped, it should be fine.
Little trick for sand burying nems.
Piece of small pvc just slightly larger than the nems foot, pipe cap same size as pipe. If you have a shallow sand bed, you need a 45 or a 90 as well.
Cut short piece of pipe to 3-4”, put pipe cap on end. Sand the other end of pipe smooth and round it a little. If shallow sand bed, put 90 or 45 on the open end. Bury in sand or put in between rocks put a little sand in bottom of tube. Place nems foot in pipe.
For condis, aim for light random flow and mid to low light. They will typically stay put, as they feel super safe with all side of foot covered by the pipe.
