Pick this up from a buddy how is it looking it a tri color acro

are the white tips normal for this type of sps any info will help me . Thank you ahead of time
 
Nice looking stick... my best guess would be a tri-color validia. It is tough to tell if the tips are healthy in this picture because the whites are really bright and washed the pic a bit. From the health of the rest of the coral, I would guess that the white tips are a result of new growth.
 
Looks nice, white at the tips is usually ok, just make sure that it does not spread, usually if it starts to bleach from the base, that's when you're in trouble.
