I bought a nexus anemone from someone locally in October. It was about 1/4 green and 3/4 rainbow.
It split today! Now I have a 50/50 split and one with mostly rainbow with two tentacles that are grafted. The rainbow one is the larger of the two and is hiding in the rocks recovering. The new 50/50 split is looming good though!
I mostly just wanted to show this guy off because I'm super happy with how it looks, but I also have a question. As the mostly rainbow anemone grows, will it get more green? There are no solid green tentacles, only tentacles that are half green and half rainbow, but there is a green section of the oral disc. Will the green section grow green tentacles as it gets larger, or will it always be a mostly rainbow anemone? How many generations/splits does it take to go from mostly rainbow back to a noticeable nexus anemone? I'll post pictures of the mostly rainbow one when it heals up and comes out.
