this makes me want a reef lobster
They are so cute I love the purple ones but they truly are not reef safe so I feel as if the name is deceiving they also are nocturnal. So they come out at night to hunt and often go after small fish, shrimp, and starfish as they are omnivores.

Good you have that because I thought it was a heater and I was just going to comment no. They are cold water animals. And they can live for decades some ever 100+ years. They really are super easy pets. Although most people don’t keep them…as they also don’t really don’t move around a lot and boring to most people or food.
I wouldn't say hes a super easy pet but hes well worth it! And he does move around quite abit actually lol! Constantly rearranging the tank and i give him peas at night hidden in his sand and plants! He come up to the tank when i approach it all the time as well to say hi and demand a snack!

You are right about most people not having one though! I no longer eat lobster because hes my pet and i just cant lol!!!

You sound like you own or owned one???? Not to many own a maritime one lol!

Nope. I work in a seafood department and we have a lobster tank. So fish literally surrounds my life and I know a lot about keeping saltwater fish and seafood and I really do hate having to steam them when a customer asks.

Yeah i work at a seafood restaurant so i understand! Ive been there 8 years and never walked one back to the kitchen! I just cant lol!

Larry def won the lobster lottery! Hes spoiled and dearly loved! So much personality in those beady little eyes lol! Plan on expanding his tank in about 18 months! Expensive pet to establish but worth it!!!

Yeah and definitely not easy but more low maintenance it’s not a reef tank though lol. Let’s call it the most low maintenance pet in the hobby with low demands lol.

Yup and the fact that it’s a unique pet makes it more interesting. And it’s harder to mess up/kill. They can survive without a heater and a tank crash. A reef tank can not.
