My poor lyretail anthias has been bullied by the tank boss "sailfin tang" for simply being a pretty boy.

Whats your thoughts on this wound?
Is there any steps I should take to make sure it does not get infected?
Anything I should watch out for?

I have a cleaner wrasse and shrimp in the tank

Do you have a tank to quarantine it in? How hard would it be to catch?
Ideally, treating in qt with an antibiotic like kanaplex would be best (as a precaution), but if it causes too much trouble you can just closely monitor for signs of infection (redness, fuzzy growth, wound getting worse) and be ready to treat if necessary.

I do have a 15 gallon cube tank with just inverts in it right now. About 6 snails,1 hermit and horseshoe crab. I could try to catch him to move him over. He is fast and currently eating well. The antibiotics should not effect the inverts right?

This is a superficial wound and will need treatment in a separate tank and Do NOT give it kanaplex but rather Seachem Neoplex and assure salinity is maintained and now low in treatment tank and no excess waste left in tank which often leads to uronema. Add air stone also during treatment
Leave inverts, etc in display tank and treat fish Only in the treatment tank

So are you saying to move my inverts over to my main display and then move my fish over to my 15 gallon after I remove the inverts? I don't have a fish only, sterile medic tank. I could get like a tupperware bin, toss in a heater and air stone to treat since I mix my own water.

If im not able to catch him should I just keep trying? I imagine there is a point where stressing it out or having him hurt him self more is counter productive.

They stress easily and I assume this fish is in a tank now with inverts and you have a spare 15 gal tank to use for treatment?
Ultimately, your display (main) is your show tank and a separate tank would be used for treatment. If using a rubbermaid type container for treatment, assure its of at least 10 gallon size or you are going to be changing water regularly. Typically inverts are in a main display tank and not in a treatment tank

This fish is in my display with lots of other fish and inverts (including cleaning wrasse and cleaning shrimp) 112g + 39g sump.

My spare 15 gallon tank is my old tank before I upgraded which I kept running for emergencies but it has inverts in there including a horseshoe crab.

Gotcha. Yes move the inverts to main tank or rubbermaid container

You mentioned excess waste and bacteria. Idk if I have a way to prevent that without a CUC in there. besides my sock filter. How long do I treat him for? Also after treatment what do I need to do to after for my 15 gallon tank? What if I cant get him out of my main display, is there anything I can do for him even its not the perfect solution?
