Hello Reefers. Finally getting some time in creating my reef build. This is my first time doing build thread so please excuse any typos or incoherent thoughts.

A little back story. I started reefing 9 years ago when I was married. I had a 90 gallon on a 75 gallon foot print. Can't remember the exact dimensions. I had some good stuff in that tank, but in the process of my divorce my ex-wife was vindictive and poured bleach into my tank and killed everything. It was devastating and I said I was done with the hobby after all the time and money I invested . 9 years later I said it was time for me to start again. I wanted to do things different this time and wanted to be new everything. No hand me downs or second hand gear. I also didn't want to make the mistake of buying gear cause it saved me money then later on down the road have to upgrade or actually pay the money for name brand. With all that said here is my current equipment and process.

Equipment list.
  • Red Sea Reefer 250 ( I would of gone bigger, but I had space constraints in my home)
  • Varios 6 Return Pump
  • 2 GYRE Ice Cap 2k's
  • Red Sea RSK 300 Skimmer
  • 2 Red Sea 90w Led's
  • Custom Acrylic ATO container
  • Apex 2016 Controller
  • Apex DOS
  • Apex Trident
  • Apex ATK
  • BRS 4 Stage RO/DI
  • 30 pounds of MarcoRocks Dry
  • 40 pounds of Aragonite specail grade
  • Kessli h80 Fuge Light
  • Marine Depot Controller board
I will post pics and everything is other posts.

All the rock and sand is in. I told myself to no mess with the rock once you have the layout done cause you will start second guessing yourself.
