Okay so no major issue actauly here.
My gramma screech has never grown use to me or the other tank mates after about 4 to 5 months idk how long ive even had her now and all she does is hide in her cave and come out to eat.
I have 2 clowns 2 firefish 1 sixline 1 mandarin
Now all my other fish swim and get along
Firefish are hit and miss as my one clown bullies them but anyways
This gramma is the biggest In the tank and it will dive into the sand or away in away possible is it sees another fish going for the same food as it.
If i walk in ill see her out and once she sees me she dive bombs back to any cave not ever her main
She seems terrified and idk why. She doesn't get bullied from what ive seen and she doesn't seem sick. Just not normal character and its never changed so do I just have a shy gramma now.

I wanted to get a photo or video of her but she is now in a rock hiding from me. All my other fish came out for morning nibbles but she still won't get use to me. Is this normal???

Ive always seen them as a front and center fish. Mine sucks

Sounds like mine.
They are cautious cave dwellers.
Here’s a very rare appearance.

Some are like that and some become that way. Mine started out full of personality and was front and center all the time. As it got older, it hid all the time.

You can always set up a security camera and watch the tank remotely if the fish won't come out in your presence. It's a great way to catch other problem tank behaviours, too.

I’m curious if the captive bred royal grammas behave the same way. I almost went for one of the rwu captive bred royal grammas on divers den but decided to pass on it already having a yellow watchman goby. Have only seen like 6-7 on there so far.
