My salinity is off somewhere. Calibrating the Hanna checker is failing with Errr. PLS HELP ME

To check if it’s just “off” am I suppose to be getting a 35 reading ?? Like it says on the bag? I’m only getting a .17

I had issues with mine a little while back. I took off battery cover and put it in a ziplock bag with dry rice for a couple days and it sorted itself out
