Long time no update of my 2.5 ft due to high PO4 (200) and NO3(40)
Last nite do test again. It drop finally

How did you bring PO4 down?

This tank overflow box too clamp. So cannot run a skimmer in the overflow area.
Result in very erratic PO4 and NO3 the last time.
If I will to reuse this tank might need to do some modification.
Maybe I get an overflow box and a small sump for better water cycling and more
stable nutrient control......

Maybe I do some modification. Convert from AIO to tank + sump .
Should I use a overflow pipe or overflow box ?

You could use a hang on back skimmer? I used one for years when I had an AIO and it worked great.

I think I will remove the overflow section.
Drill holes for 2 to 3 overpipe and add a sump ….

Now left 2 wavemakers and some live rocks

I think 1 inch pvc tubes should be enough id go for as big of a sump your stand can handle fitting under your tank. Make sure to take into account sizing for a skimmer/refugium if you plan on using them.
