Well, this is it for the purple tang.
He never stop harassing my cbb so i put him to sale tonight, maybe the regal will also move (agression for the cbb).
Not sure what's next.

Good news, the removal of the purple tang is doing it's purpose, the cbb is back in good shape.
For now i will keep the regal angel, his agression toward the butterfly is still light.
And another good sign, the copperband is back to his old self when pick on, flashing his dorsal spines toward the agresor (in this case the majestic, still evading the regal).

The two blue hippo are doing good for the moment, some white spots but nothing to worry too much.

I did a small change in the right part of the scape, i now have a big piece of artificial live rock to which i added two pieces of real rocks.
The whole thing is more stable than before.

I had to trim my wd (dead spot in the center) and one of my orange passion had a start of stn near his base.

Will need to check the parameters this week, last time was in november.

Also, more on the maintenance side i now have two brute bin on wheels and my ro unit is plug on the water pipe. This will help a lot for the water changes and doing ro water.

Ok, due for a little update...
The sand was full of algea and cyano last month so i decided to make the move to a bare bottom tank.
The move was made last sunday and so far i like the result.
New fish: juvi imperator, better pics to come.
The 2 blue hippo are still fine, some spots from time to time but nothing scarry.

Here we go...
The work in progress last week, it took 2 more days to place it the way i like.

last month i almost lost all my montipora except the graffiti, there was something in the water that make them go rtn.
There is still some dead spots on the rainbow, the sunset is coming back and i manage to save only a small frag from the aquaman.
No idea what was the culprit, my ca was high (+ than 500ppm), and the kh quite low (- than 7dkh).
So maybe these parameters were the reason but i had some swings in the past and the monti never took such a head drop except when there was nudis.

The cardinals had eggs last week, first time i saw the male with a mouthful, no pics sadly.

The new addition

He's so cute, this is my fourth imperator.
I've kept one for 2 years and then he started to get sick and my only wipeout quickly followed.
Only the yellow tang survive it back then.
Another one died the first week of addition and the third, well it was before i was ready to watch angels nipping acros all day long... so i brought him back to the lfs when he started to taste my most prized pieces.
Now i'm less skittish about it, i tolerate 2 angels since last year, so one more one less...

Sometimes a little crazy but that's to be expected from a kitten.

The tank is doing fine these days, not great but fine.
I tried to fine tune the aquascape this week-end, i wanted to lower the rock on the right side to get it more even to the rest.
Well, first hammer shot and it broke right after the base, i was not too proud of myself!
So i ended up fixing some rocks that were in the sump to my "big bertha".
I like the look, way more minimalist but more balanced than the previous one in my eyes.
These days it's frag time, some people nearby are interested and that's fun when your tank is not just a money pit.
I had a drop in the kh, not sure why, slowly getting back up.
