Hello my friend has recently bought a toadstool letter at his local fish store and he added the letter coral to his tank yesterday and the next morning it was bent so he checked his tanks nitrate, phosphate, Ph, and etc. And it all looked fine so he wanted to know why is it bent, the polyps are coming out and it has some Mucus on the top. Can you please help me

They bend over many times when the lights are out and polyps aren’t fully extended. As for the mucus he could try to blow it off with a turkey Baster but personally I would wait for the polyps to extend and it should be fine

Mucus is its way of shedding. Bending can be due to light, flow or the angle the frag is mounted.

Still new so it’s gotta get settled. Will get waxy looking and slough off it’s skin. All normal.
