i'd stck with the t5s, costs less to run and mh's make a lot of heat. my b in law has a 220g with 24 39w t5s and it looks awesome. he used to have 3 400w halides and he'd never go back. if i ever get around to setting up my 105g i'll use both cuz its a tall tank

I have a tall 110 (30") and I am considering LED's for that.
Equal in cost and performance to 250Mh's, they should pay for them selves in a short time with less electricity, heat and evaporation.
