My wife won this at aquashella Chicago last August. I was a bit embarrassed of posting the build on here, because I really had know idea of what I was doing. I love this hobby and definitely am obsessed. I read on here until my eyes hurt and like how everyone does things a little differently. One of the biggest issues I had with the sump was trying to figure out how to setup a refugium in it. I used egg crate and made a stand for the protein skimmer with a wall to put the refugium on the other side. Ive had pretty good luck with the tank since last October, but still have tons to learn.

Never be embarrassed, we all started from the beginning at some point. And we have all made mistakes in this hobby. Sounds like you are doing your research so that is the most important. As long as you're putting in effort to learn you shouldn't be embarrassed.
