A little disappointed that my new pump couldn’t get the job done. It will take a week or two for me to plan and plumb in the new external option. On the other hand the tank is looking good. Have a par meter, maybe add my first coral in a couple of weeks? I have a White Tail Bristletooth being added into my QT today, pics to come. Here is the tank, still haven’t found a good way to take pics with the main lights running.

Well my new fish never arrived. It’s from LiveAquaria. Love getting from them, but FedEx seems to have messed up.

So the new fish arrived. Total of over 48 hours in shipping. Packaging was excellent, as usual with LiveAquaria. FedEx let me know the overnight flight was delayed due to ice and inclement weather. So a little unfortunate, and I know shipping this year is insane atm. The water was very cold on arrival, and the fish appeared to be quite stressed. He is acclimating, and is actually a really good looking specimen. Hopefully I can get him over this hump. Will get some pics tonight after acclimation and letting it calm down for a while. Very excited, love the look of the White Tail!

Well the White Tail looks a lot better then yesterday. He his still skittish, and probably stressed. I haven’t been able to get him to eat yet, but have a couple different foods. Will give him a few days to start eating before giving any medications. He won’t really set still for a picture, and likes to hide in his cave. Will get a better one. Also here are the Clowns after this mornings maintenance!

The tank is doing well! I ordered my first coral. Three of them. Two from WWC, and one from AnonymousCorals. They arrive next Thursday. Here’s the pics from the shops. Also a pic of my Whitetail! He’s getting fat, and has a super spunky attitude lol

Well corals have been in for a couple of days. They all are looking pretty good, and seem to be healing from being shipped. Started testing a little more rigorously. Phosphates seem a little low, but everything it checking out. Even got to test out my PAR meter! Now I really do need to get some good photos!

Well I ordered some more coral. A green slimer, and a cool looking grafted monti cap. Also added some snails. Fighting a little bit of algae, so trying to keep a strict cleaning regimen for the time being. The corals and fish are looking really good!

Have 6 frags coming tomorrow. Kind of exciting! Going to start dosing a small amount of baking soda tomorrow , tank is using about 0.1 dkh daily. Dosing Phos and NO3 still, getting really low values. Still working on the camera.

My six new frags are in! One acro has minor tissue damage on a tip, considering cutting that bit off to avoid any future problems. Will try to get some pics once the lights come on.

My house is a mess lol. Now that my calcium and alk are balanced I want to start using Kalk. Testing this Versa dosing pump to make sure it’s accurate!

Fish are looking fatter then ever. Using additives for NO3 and Phosphate. Getting nice readings. I think the dry rock has been sucking Phosphate up? Mg is 1280 this morning, I think I would like to bump that up to 1350. Corals looking great, can’t wait to add more.

I keep saying I need to learn how to filter my pics. One day lol. Can’t believe how much this guy (or girl?) is thriving since he came to me. Such beautiful colors!

So I got a gyre 4K powerhead to help combat some areas with strong flow but in one direction. Trying to get a more random flow pattern, will see how this works. Also going to save up for a nice pair of sea swirls I think!
