Mysterious Clownfish Death

So I just got a new clownfish (approx. 1") yesterday and acclimated him to water conditions over 3 hours. After adding him to the tank he was getting along with the other tank mates (clownfish approx 1.5 inches and a firefish), and even eating within 20 minutes of being introduced to the tank. This morning I came down to check on the tank and it was no where to be found. I am assuming my nassarius snails had a nice little snack. Any ideas what could have caused this?

See if it jumped out of your tank or into a filtration area in the back of your tank if you have one. I had a Clown that jumped and ended up in the back chamber where my return pump is. It lived in there for three weeks! When I decided to clean the pump, I noticed my white Wyoming Clown had jumped into that compartment!
