I dissolved 514g (2 and 1/2 cups) of Tropic Marin Part A (calcium chloride) in 1 gallon of RODI-water and added 80ml of Tropic Marin K+ trace elements. Everything dissolved, resulting in a clear liquid, like the various times before I had done this. About 24 hours later the liquid in the bottle is very cloudy white, and a white substance is in the bottle. The substance also clings to the tubing in the bottle, looking like crystals (but can be wiped off). Nothing else went into the bottle, and it was neither hot nor cold in my living room. I am dosing for years now, and this has never happened. Does anybody have an explanation?

I think so, but hard to say one day later. If adding the A- would lead to this delayed reaction I observed, then it must have been A- !

I don’t know, but if A- contains molybdate (nit sure what chemical forms are used)then you may precipitate calcium molybdate.

The TM A- bottle says it contains “molybdenum’, nothing more specific. Here a picture of the separated substance in a bucket.

Thank you for trying to solve the mystery. I will prepare another batch and observe!
