Ever have a coral that you purchased and later, as it started growing, wondering if that was what you really purchased? I'm sure it happens all the time, but it happed to me and I need help identifying this coral.

Picture 1 is the coral when first purchased and Picture 2 is its current state. I was told when I purchased it that it was an acan. He "supposedly" had the mother colony of this acan and told me it would look like that, but looking back....it doesn't.

Any help.....

Do you have any "mystery" coral you need help identifying? Post it here and let our follow reefers tell us what we "really" purchased!

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
