Making a dedicated thread for this little guy who came in on a pink rainbow wall hammer. Definitely something Stoney with a fluorescent green mouth

First look from Dec 18, 2021 on the way home. Such a tiny little thing!

Some pics from today. Very tiny but noticeable amount of tissue growth, starting to gain some more green colour around the edges

Reminiscent of one but this definitely has a skeleton

I’m just now realizing that the black stuff (see 1st group of pics) had started to spread. What is it?? Should I try to scrape it off?

I’m just now realizing that the black stuff (see 1st group of pics) had started to spread. What is it?? Should I try to scrape it off?

Black sponge. I have it in my tank. Light will cause it to recede - but I haven’t seen it do any damage yet that I can tell

Any visible tentacles yet? If you see some small tentacles would bed stronger on balanophyllia but otherwise I am gonna stick to my "cynarina or caulastrea" bets
