So far so good!

The tank is cruising along, and I’m on the numbers chase. I’m having an issue with the PH in the house, and it’s super low. Recently bought a CO2 scrubber to see if anything will help. The kalkwasser is in the ATO but it is weak. I’m going to slowly raise it.

CO2 is going to be Recirculating.

Next step is to drill another hole in the Nyos skimmer cup, since it’s has been filling up rather quickly…or upgrade.

@Mystikal I see you have a fan from Harry’s Aquatics. I’ve got one myself and run it off the 24V accessory port on my EB832 and regulate it with an Apex temperature probe. How are you running yours?

@Mystikal another thing I just noticed. Looks like you have an anemone and clownfish in an acclimation chamber. Can you tell us the story on that? Sorry if you’ve already explained it I’m new to your thread.

Hey, thanks for stopping by!

so far the fan was just installed today. I ran it with the 24v accessory port as well. I wanted to run my Ati fixture a little longer so right now I’m hoping it will keep 78-81. So far it’s doing a great job and very well designed for what I wanted. The Afs will be removed, once we get back from our trip. Im testing it to ensure that it is properly functional and feeding everyone. Still need to figure out how I could feed the clowns in the nem box.
Speaking of them, I ended up getting them from a member that was shutting down their tank along with the 4 chromis. Just making sure my bio load is stocked with lots of fish for the SPS build I’m going for. The anemone is a Colorado Sunburst Anemone. That I am “babysitting” for @cc03cobra. I was lucky enough to have him ship me the nem, to hold until he had his tank up and running. I had her in a fruit basket and she escaped, while I was waiting for the box to ship. I didn’t want anything to happen to her while I was on nem duty. Been feeding her heavy in Hopes she splits, so I can get to keep one for the clowns. They’ve hosted it the day it came in, probably because they are much more mature than the ones I had in previously.

All I can say is wow!
That fan is putting in work..

I think I might do a similar set up on the Ati fans, and modify the “brick” fan adapter
Into a 24v plug on the Eb832.
Also had the opportunity to visit @WWC ;
I walked away with oyster feast lol.

Fallback OFF
If Tmp > 81.0 Then ON
If Tmp < 79.5 Then OFF

1626457477362.png

Im in no way a professional coder, or try to be. Sometimes I have no clue.
@Mystikal I put a Min Time code line on the output so the fan doesn’t shut off and on too rapidly and wear itself out. I can’t remember how I did that line but perhaps Apex guru can chime in and help us out @SuncrestReef .

This will force the fan to remain on for a minimum of 5 minutes, and off for a minimum of 5 minutes. Just adjust the timers to your preference.

Fallback OFF
If Tmp > 81.0 Then ON
If Tmp < 79.5 Then OFF
Min Time 005:00 Then ON
Min Time 005:00 Then OFF

@Mystikal @SuncrestReef okay I remember. The ON timer activates when the temperature is geater than 81* and OFF timer activates when temperature is less than 79.5*. After the OFF timer has continued for 5:00 minutes, the fan can remain OFF for any length of time as long as the temperature is 81* or less.

I thought about that, but the looks of how it’s going, my schedule changes. So my current light setup turns on the fan when the Ati heats up the tank, then fan shuts down towards the end of the cycle, predominately at evening… right when my reefbrites are left on. So it’s on for a couple hours, and not turning on and off. During my light schedule.
