Name your must have Acros!

Alright just like the title says everyone, what are some must have acros for you guys? Even if you don’t have them yet throw them in the comments im looking for a couple dozen killer acros for a new tank and would love suggestions[emoji16]

Here are a dozen or so... most have kicked *** for a decade or more and have made it through the "trendy" stage:

Tyree OG Purple Monster, Garf Bonsai, Tyree Ice Fire Echinata, Fox Flame, Oregon Blue Tort, ORA Pearlberry, Palmers Blue Mille (or Sapphire Mille), $500 Efflo, Superman Table, Tyree Ultimate Stag, Tyree Lime in the Sky (everybody needs a bit of green), Strawberry Shortcake, Wet Thumbs Tierra Del Fuego, ORA Red Planet (or Atlantis Christmas Mirabilis) and Copps Blueberry Miyagi Tort.

Thankyou! Im gonna try to get some of those in right now my red planet is just green but my shortcake has great color. And speaking of Fox Flame im on my way back home with a frag I just picked up! I hope it is a good grower...

It is. It is the best of the current generation of corals, IMO... better than Walt Disney, RR, Vivid or WWC whatever or any others. Fox Flame is legit and can do well in any tank under any lighting and needs no tricks. If you like it as a frag, you will like it even more when it is baseball sized and larger... it really starts to shine.

That sounds great, who doesnt love a fast grower. I ordered a JF Beach Bum as well but I have a feeling they are terrible growers my Jedi Mindtrick has not grown at all in 40 days since I got it.

Personal preference obviously plays a roll...but I agree with a lot of jda's picks. You might also consider the forest fire or bubblegum digi. I think they're awesome looking pieces.

If you want something yellow...look into the pikachu.

I also still have pieces of orange digi and red setosa. Like a little bit of every color in the tank.

I did not list any montis since he said Acros. If you are considering Montis, then Leng Sy is the best one, IMO (totally subjective :)).

That is stunning! Yeah I didn’t say monti’s because I like to think I know just about every variety out there im a huge monti head I love them. Have found the Leng Sy though.

A couple of my favorites are tyree pink lemonade, Fox flame, asd rainbow milli, rmf Diablo milli, ORA pearlberry, Hawkins echinata and Sc orange passion. I just got the Fox flame and pink lemonade I’ll make sure I don’t kill those before I go after the rest on my list.

I'm not a big fan of acros but I do love fox flames. I see they've already been mentioned - they are popular for a reason. :)

Yeah I splurged on the Fox flame.

I would also add the Peletta pink tip. It's a great acro that has stood the test of time.
