Hi All - I have a Red Sea max nano (20gal total volume, 16.5gal display area) and would like to know a good stocking list. I know there are many other threads of similar nature, here and on the internet BUT I would like to do something without Clowns. My current thinking is as follows:

  • Royal Gramma
  • Firefish
  • Tailspot Blenny
  • Clown Goby - nonnegotiable :)
Any thoughts or changes would be appreciated. My current concerns are on compatibility and also maybe that there is a lack of "free swimming" fish.

Bengai Cardinal perhaps? Some shrimp are always good to liven up a small tank as well

The list looks good to me, the listed fish are all peaceful in my experience. I think there is enough space, they are not very active swimmers, the blenny is probably the most active of them all.
