Nano gobies and clownfish

Hello everyone. I have a 20 gallon with a pair of clowns. Previously my clowns have been fine but did occasionally pick on a flasher wrasse throughout the day in the past. Does anyone think nano gobies would be a good option as they occupy the lower area of the tank rather than the water column. If nano gobies are a good option ie trimma, neon, black barred convict just any of the 2 inch or less ones do they do well in pairs/ groups? Would you need to buy them at the same time or could I even get like 1 of several species?

Maybe. But in my experience a 10 gallon tank is to small for a pair of clowns to start. As it is, it is their tank now and anything new may suffer their Wrath.

Edit note - not sure where I got 10 gallons from. Should be OK in your 20.

some nano fish would be fine.

Some nano fish are hermaphrodites and some are not, so some fish you have to buy a pair. And some you can get around the same size as babies and it should be fine.
