I decided to tryout the Maxspect Celestial Full Spectrum lighting.
So far I am neutral on it. Here is why:

I like:

-Simplicity with the controls
-Comes with a mount/gooseneck
-It's full spectrum
- I am able to control intensity and color by adjusting each channel %
-Easy setup right out of the box

What I didn't like:

-Mount/Gooseneck - Doesn't hold well. You will need prop a block or something to help hold it to the tank.
-Plastic design - the shell is made of plastic and the knob for the controls feel like I can easily snap it off or it will break off if the light falls off the mount on the floor.
-Price - Should be around $180 but I paid $219

I'm considering a Celestial also. I was wondering your opinion on th elight it gives off in general. How does it compare to a Kessil as far as shimmer and making the coral colors pop? Thanks,

My Opinion:

Maxspect Celestial beats the kessil in controllability, price, and package contents(mount include with light). Kessil wins in shimmer, light spread, and build style (so far). I can't say how they make my corals look because I haven't added any corals to the 2.5G yet but the display tank at the LFS had it set up and the corals looked great.
