Nano Overflow Herbie Method

starting a new project. Mr. Aqua 17g 24x12x14

I'm planning on using the herbie method for the plumbing. If I get the CPR Extra Small (6 3/8" L x 2 5/8" W x 3 5/8" H ) is there enough clearance to drill two 3/4"? How far apart do I need them to be? How much lower should be the main drain from the emergency?
