So this is my nano tank I set up not to long ago I’m looking at it now and I’m in love with it
How about more detail about the system?
By the way, nice tank!
It’s a 5 gallon tank with a rio 1100 return pump and a filter section with foam and carbon for filtration
How old is the system?
About 1 month and a half
You are doing good, then. Kick back and let nature take it's course. Go slow and wait before you do anything else
Yea and I got this whole tank set up for like 30$ so it’s a really nice looking tank for cheap and I’m only 15 so you know money is kinda tight at my age but I’m in the process of setting up a 55 gallon reef tank
How do you top off?
Looks awesome, definitely kick back and enjoy while you plan out your next build. Welcome to the reef life
Looks good Man.
I do it manually with ro water
I just can’t wait till I add coral to it
It's hard waiting, what's worse is actually buying the coral and watching it sit in QT for a couple months. it's why I just haven't bought coral yet lol
i have a question l, so I get everything from my local fish store I got all my live rock and my saltwater and my fish from the same place and he already qt them, so should I still qt them ?
I wouldn't QT coral in a 5 gallon.
I would personally, I sincerely doubt they do a full 76 day QT. Even coral, it wouldn't be nice to introduce something in your nice new system if you can avoid it...
What about dipping my coral
Dips are always recommended on top of a QT, reason for this is dips will not kill certain parasites in there tomont state. But will kill lots of other harmful things. Only thing that kills the tomonts is time... After they hatch they need a food source and without one they die off.
