hi all,

i’m hoping to find first-hand accounts from fellow reefers with both above critters in their tanks. i’ve read often that nardoa starfish will eat asterina stars, but that’s about it ...

bluezooaquatics lists them as peaceful, liveaquaria doesn’t have a species entry for nardoas. not really finding nardoa starfish on other sites for comparison.

bob goeman’s saltcorner basically describes them as “reefsafe with caution.” (http://www.saltcorner.com/AquariumLibrary/browsespecies.php?CritterID=3047)

my LFS has one that i was really tempted to buy but i resisted for the sake of my three cherished crocea clams already in the tank. my thanks to anyone who can chime in with a personal account.

Hey I can't really answer your questions but I will say that stars like this aren't really great in our tanks. We just don't know enough about their diets and care requirements and they usually die after 6 months to a year.

So I can't recommend you spending your $ on it...
