NASA NeMO-Net game

I downloaded a new game on my iPhone today after seeing it featured on the news. The game is called by NASA NeMO-Net and was created by NASA as a creative way to classify coral reefs.

I think the coolest part is that NASA says that the game data is actually uploaded to be used in the global reef assessment.

I don’t have all the info on the game. As I said I just downloaded tonight and only played a few moments, but it did seem interesting and if it could make a difference with our reefs I definitely wanted to share.

I was messing around with the app a little more this evening. The classification itself is a little time consuming, but the information they give is very informative.

Agree takes a while on the phone but it’s fun. I downloaded the app on my iPad and use the pen - it’s like doodling, only useful.

My son just downloaded this and is proud to be a citizen scientist helping NASA map corals! It’s a pretty cool thing they’re doing.
