Naso tang doing laps

My naso keeps its figure by swimming around the power head it only does it at night also I guess burning off excess energy? I dunno

How long have you had the tang? Was he quarantined properly. The last tang that I had that did that was because of ich in his gills. He is using the flow from the powerhead to get more water flow over his gills. My powder brown did that for about a week before I saw any direct visual evidence of ich.

Also an indicator of marine velvet... Is it sensitive to light as well?

Nope none of the above he still does it from time to time I think it's just having fun lol

My Achilles tang would do something similar to that but instead of going around slowly he would stay right in front of the power head the whole time trying to hold his position while letting the turbulence run through him, but he was also covered in ich completely. He's now doing well by the Tank Transfer Method referred by Ty.

I have not seen any signs of disease on him and I haven't noticed him doing it recently I will have to watch out for it he maybe because I moved my chair which was down at that end he stopped doing it I dunno will update
