Unfortunately my naso tang has passed away and I’m looking for some advice to figure out what could have gone wrong. He was fine all day and then I suddenly saw him on the wave maker power head with blotchy white patches (doesn’t look like ich”
Once I found him I isolated him to a breeder box so I could then move him into my quarantine tank. Unfortunately he did not survive. I attached a photo of what he looked like when I moved him to the breeder box. Does anyone have an idea of what this would be? He had a slime coat, with fuzzies around his eyes. Was breathing very slowly before he died.
Wondering if this is a possible disease? However all my other fish seem healthy and happy. Or if this could be the result of a possible fight between tank mates. I acquired this tank when I moved into my home; it was here before me. And it is stocked with a few large tangs.
Any ideas to get to the bottom of this would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have not messed with the lighting cycle since I’ve had this tank. I am new to the hoppy and acquired it from my homes previous owners. It is a mobius lightning system. Lights are usually set to blue and are on a set schedule. I don’t know if changing to white would harm anything. It is a 125 gallon tank with plenty of live corals.
