Nassarius Snails

So I have some of these lil snails and a few good size turbos. Came home to find two of them on top of one of my turbo snails. Broke up the snail fight and the next morning they were finishing my big snail off. Has anyone had this happen before?

My guess would be the turbo was already in the process of checking out. My cleanup crew is similar (I also have a few trochus) and never seen them go after something that wasn't already dead/dying. As long as you have sand in your tank, Nassarius are great to have.

Never had mine do any murder in my tank. I have always liked them.

Ok, I wondered if maybe something was just wrong with my big guy. I have had all of them for a while and they had never messed with the turbos before. Thanks so much for yall’s input. [emoji4]

i have had that happen too. Mine never bother anything alive or healthy

Probably just cleaning up....but i would watch them to make sure theyre not whelks.

I have three nassarius in my tank and when a snail is dying they tend to start feasting have had them do this to snails and hermits and hermits do the same. Have also seen them do this to corals and my rfa
