Where the new tank will be located is in a very bright room with some direct sunlight. However the tank will not be in direct contact. Is this a problem of possibility a good thing. Thanks

It can cause excess algae growth if you have excess nutrients. Really depends on your system and how well you keep water chemistry under control. Most would say it's a bad thing, I personally enjoy it because it makes the tank look lovely when the natural sunlight hits the corals and anemones. It probably helps growth too.

Most people will say avoid directly sunlight because it is an uncontrollable variable, and that is probably good advice for most people and especially beginners.

In those few times of the year when direct sun hits my tank, the things it is hitting can look unusually nice, especially fish like green chromis.

Thanks for your reply however the sunlight will not directly hit the tank, so I’m hopeful that the brightness in the room won’t create constant issues.
